Botswana vs Tunisia Match preview 14/11/2014 Africa Cup 2015

CAN 2015: Botswana - Tunisie, formation probable des Aigles

Voici la formation probable de l'Equipe de Tunisie qui devrait affronter son homologue botswanaise, aujourd'hui vendredi (17h30) à Gaborone, dans le cadre de la 5è journée des éliminatoires de la CAN 2015:

Aymen Mathlouthi, Ali Maâloul, Hamza Mathlouthi, Mohamed Ali Yaakoubi, Syam Ben Youssef, Aymen Abdennour, Hocine Ragued, Houcine Nater, Yassine Chikhaoui, Fakhreddine Ben Youssef et Amine Chermiti.

La rencontre sera diffusée par beIN SPORTS 1.

The visiting Tunisians are out to get a point from their 2015 Afcon Qualifier against struggling Botswana on Friday at 18h30 at the National Stadium in Gaborone.

Botswana is still bottom of the group with no points and will be looking at salvaging some pride going into this game.

The coach, Peter Butler, revealed that he has never shied away from playing his attacking football and Friday will be no different.

Butler revealed that if Botswana has to be realistic they have to admit that they were pitted against the powerhouses in African football.

He said coming out against big countries and losing maybe a good learning curve.

“I will not be shying away from the normal game plan of attacking and letting the players express themselves. We are looking forward to the game and we will give them a run for their money.

“We have had a couple of injuries in the last league games. We know that we have our own challenges starting with our population and the lack of development so we are doing both, but I do believe we have a strong mentality. The bigger picture is that we got the experience with this team of young boys,” Butler said

For his part the Tunisian coach, George Leekens, said they didn’t train on Tuesday and were only to start training Wednesday evening but all is not lost.

He explained that the Carthage Eagles are looking at getting the necessary one point draw in the game so that they don’t struggle in their Wednesday encounter against Egypt.

“We need the respect and public confidence back. My players were scared to even play at home but now we are getting there.

“We have a god idea of how Botswana plays and it is unfortunate that they don’t have a point in the group - it is not a true reflection of how they play. Overall let football be the winner on Friday,” Leekens said.
