Hairstyle of the Day — The bow bun

A hair bun is usually a style that pulls back all the hair for a mostly no-nonsense look. This doesn’t mean you can’t add some quirk to it. The bow bun brings personality to a boring outfit or completes the drama for a glamorous night. Lady Gaga and Paris Hilton have been seen daring this style at red carpet events, walking away with praises.

You may need: elastic clear hair band, comb/brush, bobby pins.

Steps:

    Comb out all the knots first.
    Tie your hair into a very high ponytail, right on top. If you want you could place the ponytail on the side too.
    While you tie the high ponytail, instead of pulling your hair out completely, pull your hair into a medium-sized loop leaving a loose end.
    For the bow, divide the loop into equal halves. Put one hand through either sides of the loop and pin it up underneath with the other. Do this one side at a time.
    With that loose end, wrap it over the centre portion of the bow and pin it to the base.
    Fluff the bow up a little. Pull the sides of the bow one by one. Ensure you are careful while doing this.
