Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool

Team News
Tottenham

Kyle Naughton returns from suspension but after Eric Dier's performance at right-back in the win over QPR he could retain that spot.
Nacer Chadli scored two goals in that match and could play on the left wing once again.
Kyle Walker's continuing injury remains something of a mystery, and he looks set to miss out once again.

Liverpool

Mario Balotelli is in line to make his first appearance since signing for Liverpool at White Hart Lane, with Brendan Rodgers stating earlier this week that the Italian was in 'very good condition'.
That could mean a switch to a 4-man diamond midfield, with Coutinho dropping to the bench after an uninspiring start to the competitive season.
Liverpool could, though, have problems in defence, where Skrtel, Moreno and Johnson are all doubtful. The latter is most likely to miss out with a thigh strain, and that could mean Javier Manquillo comes in to the team.
Adam Lallana has trained this week and could be in the squad on Sunday.

Prediction

Tottenham's memories of facing Liverpool last season are not fond ones. They conceded 9 goals over the two Premier League clashes, and the 5-0 defeat at White Hart Lane last December turned out to be André Villas-Boas' final game in charge.
Now, with renewed confidence after a 4-0 win over QPR last week, new manager Maurico Pochettino will need to set his team up cautiously, without leaving the same kind of holes that Tottenham of last season did.
Liverpool lost at Manchester City last time out and are yet to hit top gear so far this season, but the arrival of Mario Balotelli could be a game-changer for them. He will breathe new life into the team and could well produce the kind of magical moment that Luis Suarez had previously done.
Both sides are different ones from last season and cautious approaches may be necessary to begin with. Goals will come with each team possessing better attacks than defences, and this one could thus be a score draw.
