Olympiakos v Atletico Madrid: Preview


Olympiakos (0-0) currently sit joint second in the Greek Super League and are yet to taste defeat. With multiple new faces set to make their debuts, it is likely to be a stronger side than the club has fielded this campaign as they look to pull one over on the defending La Liga champions.

New faces to make their European debut for the Greek side are former Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay as well as former Fulham wide attacker Pajtim Kasami. Dimitrios Siovas is ruled out through injury while Giannis Maniatis is a fame time decision.

Atletico Madrid (0-0-0) will be ready to come out firing having just defeated rivals Real Madrid in the Madrid derby over the weekend and are in the hunt to continue their strong opening season form. Although several changes have happened in the club’s first team, they are looking as strong as ever and are favored to continue their run.

The defending La Liga champions and Champions League runners-up already have picked up where they left off domestically in Spain and will be looking to so the same in Europe.

Antoine Griezmann and Mario Mandzukic will be making their European debuts for the Mattress Men while both Silvio and Cristian Rodriguez are both going to be late decisions with knocks.
