Spain – FYR Macedonia



Spain played no shot on target last friendly match against France as the new look side are struggling for rythm. Chelsea man Diego Costa who got injured in that match is ruled out of this clash due to injury.

Coach Bosche has invited 19 year old Barcelona teenager Munir El Haddadi to be handed a start. Fernando Torres and Gerard Piqué were overlooked while Iniesta is also out due to injury.

Xavi Hernández, David Villa and Xabi Alonso have retired from the national team following the World Cup. Macedonia is also struggling for goals as the side have not found the back of the net in last four matches and their hope of scoring today doesn't look bright; Jahovic has struggled for playing time in Krylya Sovetov, and Jovan Kostovski is playing in Belgium's second tier.

 Veterans TGoran Pandev and Nikolche Noveski have both retired from the national team. Daniel Georgievski, Goran Popov and Mirko Ivanovski have all left out due to club engagement. Arijan Ademi and Ostoja Stjepanovikj are injured while Ivan Trichkovski is not physically ready to contribute.

Macedonia'a coach is having a modest ambition in the qualifier campaign as he is hoping to qualify following a third place play-off. Host are missing regulars as they welcome a ready-to-defend guest.
