Mr Salisbury is one of the most experience referees on the circuit.
He has been refereeing since 1985 and taking charge of Football League games since the start of the 2001/02 season.
He has, however, not been in charge of many Brentford games, only eight in total.
The first of those was a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town in November 2001, where Brentford secured a point thanks to a last-gasp Ben Burgess goal.
That goal was the only one scored by Brentford in games Mr Salisbury took charge of for nearly 13 years.
They lost at Port Vale in March 2003 and December 2006 and at home to Swindon Town in December 2003 with him on the whistle.
There have also been two 0-0 draws – at Doncaster Rovers in March 2005 and at Hartlepool United in October 2009.
He also took charge of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final against Carlisle United at Wembley in April 2011.
The Bees ended their poor run with Mr Salisbury in charge when they beat Coventry City 2-0 away from home last September, his last Brentford game.

Jonathan Douglas should start for Brentford for the 150th time at Watford, days after making his 150th appearance for The Bees.
